Our Story
J BRIDAL BOUTIQUE IS ARIZONA’S PREMIER BRIDAL BOUTIQUE FOR THE FEMININE AND FASHIONABLE BRIDE. IT WAS FOUNDED BY TWIN SISTERS, KATIE AND EMILY, TO OFFER WOMEN IN SOUTHERN ARIZONA A BRIDAL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER.IT ALL STARTED WITH A DREAM. KATIE AND EMILY, ALONG WITH THEIR BEST FRIEND GENNA, HAD FIRST DREAMED OF OPENING A BRIDAL BOUTIQUE WHILE SHOPPING AROUND TOWN FOR EMILY’S WEDDING GOWN IN 2010. THE SEARCH AROUND TUCSON WAS UNSUCCESSFUL, AND EMILY FELT DISHEARTENED. GENNA, BEING THE AMAZING FRIEND THAT SHE WAS, FELT JUST AS EXASPERATED AS EMILY AND SAID “WHY DON’T WE JUST OPEN OUR OWN SHOP SO BRIDES IN TUCSON WON’T HAVE TO STRUGGLE THIS WAY.” AFTER THEIR EXPERIENCE, THE GIRLS COULD NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT HOW TUCSON DESPERATELY NEEDED A BRIDAL SHOP THAT OFFERED AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE WITHOUT FORCING TUCSON BRIDES TO TRAVEL. THEY DISCUSSED ALL THE DETAILS OF THEIR BOUTIQUE AND THE ROLES EACH OF THEM WOULD PLAY. SADLY, REALITY SET IN AS THE IDEA SEEMED TOO FAR-FETCHED.ON JUNE 26, 2012, KATIE AND EMILY RECEIVED NEWS THAT GENNA’S LIFE HAD TRAGICALLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY ENDED. THE HEARTBREAK WAS UNBEARABLE, BUT KATIE AND EMILY WERE DETERMINED TO HONOR THEIR BEST FRIEND. THEY CAME BACK TO THE IDEA OF HOW AMAZING IT WOULD BE TO OPEN A BRIDAL BOUTIQUE IN HER NAME.AS THE OPPORTUNITY PRESENTED ITSELF AND EVERYTHING BEGAN TO FALL INTO PLACE, THERE WAS NO LOOKING BACK! THEY FINALLY TURNED WHAT WAS ONCE A DREAM INTO REALITY.
J Bridal Boutique represents our beautiful, Genna. Although Genna’s name does not begin with a “J”, it was a nickname given to her by someone very near and dear to her heart. She would express how much she loved being called “J” and how special it made her feel.

Founders
Co-Owner of J Bridal, with her twin sister, Emily. Katie always knew from a young age that she was destined to be an entrepreneur. When she and Emily were little, they would knock on neighbor’s doors and asked to wash their car, walk their dog, or shine their shoes! No kidding! A few people even took them up on the offer!
Katie has always been a very passionate person and dabbled in various careers. After still searching for her career path, Katie started culinary school. She became the head baker at a local restaurant, while making custom cakes in her side business. Although this was something she enjoyed, she realized it was more of a hobby than a career. This is about the time she and Emily had the idea to open a bridal shop. This is where Katie FOUND her true PASSION!
Katie is not only an owner at J Bridal, she was also a J Bride!! She tied the knot in 2015 and married the love of her life, Michael. They have four beautiful children.

Born and Raised in Dallas, Texas and still a true southern girl at heart. Growing up as a twin, she was the more reserved and shyer one, and always let katie take the lead...and the blame too!
Emily always knew she wanted to do something that allowed her to utilize her creative, fashion-loving side, but also sprinkle in some of her business and customer service sides too. First marketing seemed like the answer. Then after graduating college, and several years of desperately searching for a Marketing job that would hire her without experience, she was beginning to feel hopeless. That is around the same time the idea of opening a bridal boutique resurfaced. it was the career that spoke to her heart and soul. J Bridal Boutique gave her the freedom and creativity that she so badly desired.
